There are so many types of fencing and gates and types of locations for both, it can be a bit overwhelming. First look at what your neighbors are doing for fences and gates, get some good ideas to start.

Pricing can vary dramatically depending on length of fence, material used, style of fence, hardware, gates (walk through/drive through), access for equipment, terrain, etc. The easiest way to know how much it will cost is to get a free quote from a landscape pro.
Account for debris removal if there is an existing fence or foliage that needs to be removed. This is often overlooked, but you can likely do this step yourself easier than other steps.
Staining is an important step to help extend the fence’s lifetime and can give the fence a higher end look. Longer lasting is good, and sealing the wood can be a very effective step to making your fence and gates last longer.

A correctly installed system can pay for itself, one installed incorrectly turns your investment into a cost. It’s as simple as that.

Choosing the right sprinkler heads or drip fittings can difficult when your not familiar with all of the different options available.ت There are so many options for different conditions and different spots, it can be intimidating for sure. Getting this right is important for water efficiency and saving money across the board.
When installing anti-siphon valves, they must be installed at a higher elevation than the highest sprinkler in that zone. Seems automatic, but we see this in the field once in a while, it’s a simple mistake to make, and a bit hard to correct.

First thing to acknowledge is that herbicides, pesticides and fungicides are dangerous poisons, and can hurt or even kill you, your animals, your kids, and even your neighbors. You must acquire a private applicators license to learn how to spray your own orchard, and a restricted materials permit is required for any dangerous materials being applied.

Hearing all this, if you still want to move forward, here are some easy steps to help you be effective, and to keep you safer.

Determine the direction of wind so the drift doesn’t pose a hazard to neighboring properties.ت Don’t spray if it is windy. Just don’t. It’s not worth it.
Hotter temperatures cause certain chemicals to volitlize more than others which can make them drift farther.ت Keep this in mind when you point your sprayers or wand.
Use proper PPE every time. No exceptions. Comfort is simply not an issue, safety first: Tyvek suit, rubber gloves rated for pesticide use, respirator with proper cartridges, and full eye protection are all important.

Don’t let anything land on your skin or be breathed in, and importantly, avoid spraying in ways that can effect animals, other people, or other properties.

Things to know about mowing pastures & orchards

Mowing large areas other than lawns can require big equipment and a lot of technique to do it right. It helps to have these: a flail mower, a chopper mower, a rotary mower like a brush hog too. These industrial machines working together with good strategy will get the job done right, so you don’t have to watch everything get overgrown again and procrastinate getting out there. You don’t have to watch your animals or kids be hindered by out of control natural areas. You can take care of your yards, orchards and pastures with some simple steps, combined with lots of effort, of course.

Clear all debris (large and small) to avoid damaging equipment.
Choose the right mower.ت Flail mowers are generally great for Orchards as they can cut much lower and leave a cleaner cut.تت
Rotary mowers and brush hogs can be a better option for pastures and fields as they can cut through tall, thick brush much more efficiently.ت They won’t give you a nice “golf course” looking cut however, but hey, it’s a pasture or orchard not the back 9.
Always be aware of your surroundings as rocks and debris can be thrown hundreds of feet from behind these mowers. Safety first!
